Biography
I am a historian and political theorist, specialising in modern Europe and Britain. My work explores the epistemological and institutional factors that give rise to liberalism. Apart from canonical thinkers in the history of political thought, I investigate how leading cultural figures, e.g. Brahms, embodied liberal ideas to reconstruct the experiences and meanings of living in an age of liberalism.

Currently, I serve as a Research Associate and the Assistant Director of the Centre for the Study of Governance and Society at King's College London. I was appointed as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Political Theory by Princeton University in 2024. I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge, MA at the University of London, and BA in Taiwan.

Outside academia, I enjoy poetry, photography, European cinema, classical music, and J. W. M. Turner's paintings.
